About Dr. Beaulieu
Dr. Gregory Beaulieu is a licensed psychologist providing psychotherapy and assessment services in Houston and across the state of Texas. He completed his PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. He completed an APA accredited postdoctoral fellowship in serious mental illness at the Michael E. DeBakey Veteran’s Affairs Hospital. He also holds a Bachelor of Music from Ithaca College.
Dr. Beaulieu has trained and worked in a wide range of settings. These include university counseling centers, outpatient clinics, residential and inpatient programs, and private practice. He has worked with clients in their late teens through those in their 90s.
His expertise in assessment focuses on both clinical and forensic questions on a consulting basis. He has particular expertise in assessing PTSD, independent medical examinations, fitness for duty, identifying malingering, and pre-hiring evaluations for high risk professions.
Dr. Beaulieu is a passionate educator. He has mentored and supervised students from the undergraduate to postdoctoral level. He presents continuing education seminars for professionals locally and nationally. He has published multiple scholarly articles and is an adjunct reviewer for Psychological Injury and the Law. Since 2017 he has served as a lecturer at the University of Houston having taught the APA accredited counseling psychology program’s doctoral seminar in personality assessment. In 2019 he taught a selected topics seminar “Music and the Brain” with piano professor Dr. Tali Morgulis.
In his private life, Dr. Beaulieu enjoys cooking, perfecting new piano pieces, and playing chess. His greatest joy, however, comes from spending time with friends and family.
